Broiled Maple-Soy Glazed Salmon Fillets with sweet maple, savory soy, and a hint of nuttiness from toasted sesame seeds. Tender, flaky salmon with a glossy, caramelized finish.

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 4 salmon fillets, 1 1/4 inches thick
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 3 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  • Adjust oven rack 6 inches below broiler; preheat broiler.
  • Line broiler pan with foil, place rack on top, spray with vegetable oil spray.
  • Combine maple syrup and soy sauce in a saucepan; simmer until thickened to 4 tablespoons, about 3-5 mins. Reserve 2 tablespoons for serving.
  • Dry salmon fillets; season with salt and pepper. Arrange skin-side down on broiler rack, 1 inch apart. Brush fillets with half the glaze.
  • Broil salmon 10-12 mins until mostly opaque. Midway, brush with remaining glaze.
  • Drizzle with reserved glaze and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
