Chipotle Tortilla Chips Copycat
These taste way better than the bagged stuff and cost about half as much. The lime juice is what makes them taste like Chipotle's - don't skip it.

Ingredients

corn tortillas

kosher salt

lime juice

freshly squeezed

frying oil

sunflower, peanut, or avocado
Instructions
Stack tortillas and cut into quarters.
Heat oil in heavy skillet to 350F.
Fry chips in small batches of 8-10 for about 50 seconds until lightly browned.
Drain on paper towels.
Immediately sprinkle hot chips with salt and drizzle with lime juice.
Serve right away.
Notes
Use a thermometer or test oil temperature with a tortilla piece. Chips lose crispness quickly when cool.
