Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 pounds steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Sliced green onion, for garnish
Season the Steak
Cut the steak into 1-inch bite-sized pieces. Season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
Sear in Batches
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Once hot, place the steak pieces in a single layer.
Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Transfer the browned steak to a plate.
Sauté the Garlic
Wipe out any excess moisture from the skillet, then melt the butter.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Finish with Garlic Butter and Herbs
Return the steak to the skillet and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes, stirring to coat the pieces in the garlic butter.
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
