Air Fryer Egg And Cheese Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray

Prepare the Bread

Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray and place one slice of bread inside. Using the bottom of a glass, press an indent into the center of the bread. Slightly flatten the center of the indentation with your fingers.

Add the Egg

Carefully crack an egg into the center of the bread. It’s okay if some of the egg white spills beyond the indent. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Air Fry the Toast

Insert the basket into the air fryer and cook at 340°F for 8 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, optionally sprinkle a small amount of shredded cheese on top.

Serve

Carefully remove the toast with a spatula and serve while warm.

Egg Cooking Times

Air Fryer Egg Toast can be adjusted based on your preference for yolk and white consistency:

  • 7 minutes at 340°F – Runny yolk with slightly runny whites.
  • 8 minutes at 340°F – Runny yolk with fully set whites (recommended).
  • 9 minutes at 330°F – Firmer yolk and fully set whites.
  • 10 minutes at 330°F – Fully cooked yolk and firm whites. Toast will be darker.

For firmer yolks, reduce the temperature to 330°F to prevent the toast from over-browning.
